HOW CAN I LET GO?

Let's face it. It is not easy to let go when someone deeply hurt you. It is not easy to 'forgive and forget', when a person said or did something that made you feel really bad.

We are humans, not machines. Because of the presence of our emotions, we tend to feel resentful or bitter when someone hurts us. It's worse when the other party is not even remorseful about what they did or said.

However, allowing bitterness and resentment to build up in our hearts can cause so much pain, rob peace of mind, and make one lose focus. I know that feeling.

So am I telling you to let go, after all Lala did to you? Yes. Am I telling you to let go, after all the very hurtful words Simba said to you? Yes, yes.

You have to let go because of YOU. Your emotional well-being is important for you to maintain focus and be productive. Moreover, it is an instruction given to us in the Scriptures. I know it could be quite tough, depending on the weight of what was done or said. Personally, here are some few things that helped me.

1) Accept it.
You see, you have to admit that you are hurt, bitter. Don't try to fake it and pretend that you are fine. If you do not deal with it from the root, no matter how much you cover it up; it will still remain there.

2) Talk to the Holy Spirit about it.
As tough as it could be sometimes; we can always leverage on the Holy Spirit to help us. He sees your heart, and he knows you are hurt. Cry if you need to, express yourself and ask that he helps you to remove the resentment and anger that you are feeling.

3) Pray for the person(s) intentionally from time to time.
Whether the other party felt remorseful about it or not, pray for them. As time goes on, you will discover how much peace this brings to your heart.

4) Understand that it is a process.
Yes, in certain situations, it could take some time. But as we open up our hearts for the Holy Spirit to work on, we grow and become better.

Let it go. Drop the baggage. You deserve more. You deserve the best.

I invite you today to accept Jesus Christ into your heart, if you have not. He loves you. And he wants you to radiate beauty and fulfill purpose. All you have to do is believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that God raised him from the dead to give you eternal life. Say this with me.

"Lord Jesus, I come before you today. I believe and confess that you died for me and rose again to give me eternal life. Thank you for coming into my life. Thank you for forgiving my sin. Thank you for saving me. I am born again. I am saved. I am a child of God in Jesus name, Amen."

If you said this short prayer, congratulations! You are a new creation in Christ Jesus.

Please send me a message. I will be glad to talk and pray with you.๐Ÿ˜Š
